PAGE FIFTEEN:HUDSON PHOTOGRAPHS
GREY HUDSON Heinz took this photo. A drive in the country with friends. Names forgotten. The man in the driver's seat died in a concentration camp. He was Jewish. While recovering his health, Heinz would stand in line on crutches outside embassies attempting to help people escape. He tried to convince as many people as possible to leave. His former piano instructor responded "Why should I leave? That house painter should leave." An African dancer did listen to him and went to Free France.
